Coach Stores: Flagships, Full-Price Boutiques and What to Know
Tapestry’s annual report records that Coach ended its 2026 fiscal year, on 27 June 2026, with 973 directly operated stores. That total splits into 336 stores in North America and 637 internationally. Some sources also quote a figure of about 1,299 stores, yet it counts all of Tapestry’s brands, not Coach on its own. By some accounts, Tapestry has said it plans around 50 net new Coach stores in fiscal 2027, roughly three quarters of them in markets outside North America. Across the network you will find flagship Coach House locations, ordinary full-price boutiques, department store concessions and Coach Outlet stores. A shopper looking for a coach store may therefore come across formats as different as a multi-floor flagship and a unit in an outlet village. This guide moves city by city through the best-documented locations and notes where a store’s current status still needs checking.

New York: Coach House on Fifth Avenue
New York, where Coach was founded coach mens in 1941, is home to the brand’s best-known flagship. Unveiled in the fall of 2016, the Coach House at 685 Fifth Avenue celebrated the brand’s 75th anniversary. Reports put the store at about 20,000 square feet over three floors, with a design developed with William Sofield’s Studio Sofield. That address is not a long-term home, however, because Coach has reportedly leased about 13,200 square feet at 645 Fifth Avenue for a new Coach House. The planned move is pencilled in for 2027, and David Yurman is reported to have signed a lease for the 685 Fifth Avenue space, with an opening expected in early 2029. Because it has not been confirmed whether the current store is still operating on a given day, consult Coach’s store locator before making a special trip. The locator also includes a Coach store at 20 Hudson Yards, close to Tapestry’s headquarters at 10 Hudson Yards.
London: The Coach House on Regent Street
The address of London’s Coach House is 200–206 Regent Street, where it opened its doors in 2016 as a global concept space. Studio Sofield also designed the London store, lending it a family resemblance to the New York flagship. Coverage at the time described a Craftsmanship Bar for monogramming and personalisation. A Made to Order bar for the Rogue bag was also reported, and made-to-order Rogue pieces reportedly require around 12 weeks, or about 16 weeks with exotic skins. Some writers have quoted the wrong opening year because one retail-district listing shows a much later page date. Tapestry said on its August 2026 earnings call, according to a published transcript, that the UK, plus some wholesale business, is the only part of Europe where Coach has material market penetration. If you are planning a personalisation appointment, it pays to confirm which services are currently offered before visiting.
Tokyo: Ginza
Tokyo’s Ginza district holds Coach’s flagship in Japan. Coach opened its first Japanese flagship there in 2002 and refreshed the store in 2015. Reports on the relaunch state that the studio CURIOSITY reworked the store, which reopened on 19 December 2025. For services, Japan is also significant: select Japanese stores reportedly take part in the Coach (Re)Loved trade-in exchange. That scheme reportedly accepts gently worn all-leather retail bags while leaving out outlet items and canvas pieces. Check with the store before bringing a bag along, because the participating Japanese stores have not been confirmed. Opening hours and services are best checked shortly before a visit, as with every flagship in this guide.
Hong Kong, Chongqing and a Dated Shanghai Record in Greater China
Records for Coach’s large stores in Greater China are less complete than those for New York or London. A now-dated record notes that a flagship of about 7,000 square feet launched on Huai Hai Middle Road in Shanghai in April 2010. Do not assume the Shanghai store is open today, because its current status could not be verified. Coach has also been reported to run a global flagship in Hong Kong and a two-storey glass flagship in Chongqing. Dates of opening for those two stores could not be verified either. International stores represent 637 of Coach’s 973 directly operated stores, but the annual report figure is not a city-by-city list. When planning a trip, use Coach’s local store locator over older press coverage.
Boutiques and Concessions in Britain
Besides Regent Street, full-price stores are listed on Coach’s UK store locator at Westfield London in White City and at Westfield Stratford City. Additional London locations take in St Pancras and the Promenade Level at Canary Wharf. The listed full-price store outside London is at the Bullring in Birmingham. Concessions inside Harrods in Knightsbridge and Selfridges on Oxford Street, where a Coach Playground space has been promoted, also sell Coach. Stores in Manchester, Edinburgh and other cities could not be confirmed, so check before assuming a local branch exists. For those searching coach uk locations, the rundown above gathers the documented full-price options at the time of writing. For hours and services, the safest place is each listed store’s own page on Coach’s UK website.

Shopping at Coach Outlet Stores
Rather than being independent discounters, Coach Outlet stores belong to Coach’s own network, and Coach identifies them as outlets in its store locator. Typically, these stores are found in outlet centres. In the United States, Coach has reportedly opened Coach Coffee Shop concepts at Jersey Gardens and Woodbury Common. Verified Coach Outlet stores in the UK are at Bicester Village, Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet and Ashford Designer Outlet. York Designer Outlet is a different case: a store there has been reported but not confirmed, so check ahead before travelling. Part of the stock in outlet stores is made for the outlet channel, yet today’s mix is unknown, since the only share figure found, around 85%, comes from 2014. Under the reported “One Coach” strategy, the assortments also bring in some full-price collection product, alongside earlier-season styles. Anyone planning a coach outlet trip should review current offers first, because promotions change and coupon-site sale calendars could not be verified.
Inside a Coach Store: What to Expect
Inside a full-price coach store, the emphasis is the latest handbag range, with small leather goods, clothing and shoes alongside. The bag families shoppers will recognise in 2026 include the Tabby (launched in 2019), the Brooklyn (introduced in August 2024) and the Empire Carryall (released in February 2025). Note that these are market observations rather than an official price list: observed US prices put a Tabby 26 at $475 and an Empire Carryall 34 at $450. Selected stores also participate in the (Re)Loved trade-in, which runs in North America retail stores plus select UK and Japan stores. Coach Insider, the free loyalty programme, reportedly covers both Coach and Coach Outlet, so one membership works across both formats. Coach says it does not authenticate merchandise, which makes a receipt from a Coach store valuable proof of where a coach bag came from. In charge of creative direction is Stuart Vevers, who still holds the Creative Director role in 2026; his appointment was announced in June 2013.
How to Plan a Visit
A little preparation avoids wasted journeys, especially while the New York flagship is preparing to move. Start with Coach’s store locator for the country you are visiting, since it separates full-price stores from Coach Outlet locations. For anyone wanting a trade-in, verify that the particular store takes part and that your bag is all leather and not canvas. Ask in advance whether personalisation or made-to-order services are currently on offer. Visitors to Britain should be aware that tax-free shopping for tourists in Great Britain was withdrawn on 1 January 2021, so there is no VAT refund to count on. Save every receipt, because it shows where a bag was bought if questions arise later. Before travelling a long way to an outlet centre, review current promotions, as offers change often.
- Consult the store locator on the day of travel.
- Confirm that the store participates in trade-ins and that your bag is eligible.
- Plan ahead for personalisation services.
- Save receipts for every purchase.
